Grenade queries
1 - Neither first edition or second edition indicated a range for thrown grenades. Would it be fair to assume that the thrown range, said to be about 35 metres, is less than or around the pistol (24") mark given that pistols aren't especially effective over a long range in combat (from what I've read).
2 - Smoke grenade rules in the shooting section and spotting section. If understand it right a single 4" smoke template is our down that stays down until 15+ is rolled at a turn end. It then States in spotting "After 5 moves" but doesn't show what happens after 5 moves.

Good questions
1) yes grenades having the same range as pistols is sensible.
2) smoke grenades stay effective unless a 15+ is rolled every move up to 5 moves and then they go. Its to give a slight uncertainty to smoke grenades/ shells which can be unreliable, but also prevent them dominating the game and so the player using them has a slight concern when deploying them.

Thank you. Nice quick reply. Sure the range wouldn't be a problem amongst sensible players but with the kids hmmm.
